Job Purpose:

Candidate will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of robust risk and controls within the Belfast ISG function to ensure all required controls are applied and enforced for the functions of this group.

This is an important role, reflective of the increasing criticality of strong risk and control focus within a large operations organisation such as ISG.

Job Background/context:

The Information Services Group (ISG) is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data to our clients across the Institutional Client Services (ICG) organization, through implementing state of the art technologies which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account and corporate action data. The ISG organization works in partnership with data clients across all ICG business lines, deploying solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data.

Key Responsibilities:

This role is for a Risk and Control oversight of Reference Data Management processes in EMEA who will perform the following:

•Co-ordinate risk and control issues, audits, corrective actions for the region and represent the region in global ISG forums with focus on ACG

•Policy/ Guidelines - Policy/ Guidelines development, standardization, awareness, implementation assistance, and enforcement of related policies across the region

•ACG Controls Reporting oversight – oversight of MCA process including insuring robust MCA’s exist across all processes and co-ordination of testing and results, inclusive of self-identified (IBAM), regulatory or audit issues and recommending suitable solutions/ of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs);

•ACG CAP Validation – Suggest, review and validate corrective actions implemented, and liaise with appropriate groups to ensure timely closure

•Regulatory/ audit queries – liaise with auditors/ regulators and assist in related review preparation, execution, and management reporting and escalations.

•Audits – Manage EMEA audit deliverables by leasing with ISG stakeholders and ensuring appropriate response

•Contingency planning – responsible for ensuring contingency plans are executable, documented and tested

•Information Security – responsible for ensuring compliance with Information Security Policy

•Knowledge of risk and controls gained through previous roles.

•Exhibit good written and verbal communication skills.

•Possess the ability to work with various levels of management and build and maintain effective working relationships

•Able to interact with Auditors, Compliance and Independent Controls Groups as required.

•Ability to proficiently use MS Office products, particularly Excel and powerpoint


•Risk management experience in an operational role is preferred but not essential
