CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Sr. Field Technician / N2 Licensed Operator
The N2 Licensed Operator is responsible for the operation and overall performance of various types of process equipment and systems at environmental remediation job sites including wastewater treatment facilities and refineries. The N2 Licensed Operator operates, inspects, adjusts, and monitors process equipment, meters, gauges, and controls to detect problems and to maintain proper levels of operation and systems performance.

Operate, inspect, adjust, and monitor process equipment, meters, gauges, and controls to detect problems and to maintain a proper level of operation and system performance.
Record operational data, meter, and gauge readings.
Work on various job sites as assigned, working effectively both individually and within a team environment.
Provide effective daily communication, both written and verbal, with clients, regulatory personnel, subordinates, peers, and supervisors.
Collect samples and test water, wastewater and industrial wastewater samples. Provide oversight for and/or perform process control testing and field testing of water. Record and adjust pH levels.
Add and adjust process chemicals, including flocculants and coagulants, using mixers, pumps, and metering devices.
Perform preventative maintenance using hand tools, power tools and/or precision equipment in accordance with O&M guidelines and requirements.
Ensure the treatment system is operating within compliance.
Demonstrate equipment operations and procedures to employees as needed.
Perform work as a team lead to ensure compliance with work orders, the direction of the Project Manager, and to help keep tasks on schedule.
Keep job sites neat, clean and free of debris.
Follow all Company Standard Operating Procedures for field work.
Understand, apply, and adhere to all safety procedures as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications / Experience
NJ Industrial Wastewater Operator’s License N-2 required.
3-7 years of related experience and/or training in environmental consulting.
Ability and willingness to work all shifts, including working extended hours, 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week, holidays and working on an “on call” status.
Willingness and flexibility to work on diverse project tasks on different job sites.
Ability to travel on a daily basis and for extended periods as required.
Excellent work ethic, communication skills and team-player attitude.
Strong attention to detail, with proven ability to follow specific instructions.
40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
Current and clean Driver’s License.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to work at various job sites, located indoors and outdoors, including oil refineries, active gas stations, abandoned warehouses, industrial manufacturing facilities, confined space locations, excavation sites, etc. Safety equipment will be provided as needed for each site, which may include respirators. This role may also be subjected to varying, and sometimes extreme, hot and cold temperatures due to changes in outdoor weather. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk and stand for extended periods of time, work in sometimes severe weather conditions, work in varying locations that may or may not require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), reach with arms and hands, and lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout shift.
