Sun Life Financial Conversion Operations Specialist in Windsor, Connecticut

This position has accountability for reviewing a client’s contract and completing the policy installation for all products and case sizes. This process also includes data gathering and benefit verification from multiple legacy administration systems for accurate installation onto the new policy administration system. Individual will be responsible for the accurate and timely transition of existing clients onto Sun Life’s administrative platforms, policies and procedures as well as accurately updating all sold case plan design, rate and employee information into the system of record. This role will strongly collaborate with other members of the team to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction throughout the conversion experience.

Success in this role is achieved when the clients’ expectations are met or exceeded during the policy transition process and implementation onto Sun Life’s new administrative platform.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Group Insurance products, risk management policies and administrative processes, including relevant Federal and State regulations

  • Ability to think creatively to resolve complex or non-routine implementation issues

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience

  • Excellent listening skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel

  • Strong detail orientation to produce quality and accurate work

  • Ability to work in a deadline oriented environment with multiple priorities

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and ability to work in a team environment and toward team operational goals

  • Solid work load management, decision-making and problem solving skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective, professional business relationships with internal

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in employee benefits or related industry; experience in underwriting and/or customer service a strong plus

  • May need to support working hours and time zones of all Sun Life sales offices

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • No travel required
