Description: A CMM Operator / Inspector job with our client in Windsor, CT is now accepting applications. This position is expected to be a 6 month contract to hire role. To be considered, you will have a high school diploma / GED, and 2+ years of experience with inspection / CMM Operation. In this role, you will utilize computer assisted coordinate measuring machines for inspection of aerospace components.


• Run CMM programs. Work from process sheets and instructions from supervisor.

• Procure appropriate blueprints and layout sheets.

• Use Zeiss DB 900, Zeiss MC 850 and DEA MISTRAL CMM’s 1 MM to 5 MM STYLUS for CMM probing in addition to standard clamps and fixtures for locating parts on table.

• Calibrate stylus and enter in computer appropriate program number.

• When job is completed, stamp inspection report, staple to process traveler and sign off where

appropriate on traveler.

• Work closely with engineering on new products. Detect faulty operations and faulty material and

report these and any other problems to immediate supervisor.

CMM Inspector / Operator Experience:

2+ years of experience with inspection / CMM Operation

Use of advanced trades mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, personal computer and software application programs of a technical nature involving a through technical skills knowledge plus the application of basic theory. Equivalent to a complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation.
