Job Summary

Work as part of a team having responsibility for reviewing operator instruction sheets to assemble and/or package an entire product or a component of a product to manufacturing specifications and quality standards. Manufacturing Operators support the productivity of manufacturing operations by performing all tasks conducted by their team in the assembly process and rotating through all injection and foam molding operations.

General Duties

  • Continuous operation of fabrication machines, CNC Punches, Lasers, Brakes, Roll Formers, Press Brakes and Welders

  • Assemble and/or package manufactured goods in conformance to manufacturing specifications and quality standards and prepare them for shipment

  • Assist in changeovers of CNC machines according to engineering specifications using tools such as CNC software application programs, punches, dies, stripers, lenses, electrodes, and hard tools

  • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers by hand or using forklifts or other industrial vehicles.

  • Maintain a safe and accident free environment by adhering to safety standards and identifying safety issues and reporting them to his/her supervisor or the safety manager

  • Shovel, sweep, wipe down, or otherwise clean work areas, equipment, tools, and machinery

  • Conduct regular inspections of manufactured goods to ensure product meets quality standards, reporting any defects to quality team and/or supervisor

  • Read and attach identifying tags to containers, material, or product packaging, or mark them with identifying information

  • Use operator computer to report defective pieces, problems with process, product, or manufacturing machinery

  • Communicate with technical staff to help resolve issues with manufacturing equipment

Working Conditions

Require considerable use of arms and legs, twisting of body, standing for long periods of time, and regularly lifting up to 25 lbs, andoccasionally may be required to lift up to 50 lbs. This position requires working in an environment with extreme temperatures, loud noises and odors associate with fabricating and grinding metal. Use of hand tools required in most cases to assemble manufactured goods and may include hammers, screwdrivers, power tools, saws, torches, grinders, or cutting blades. Often requires operation of forklifts, hoists, or other industrial vehicles. Must have comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, be able to analyze and interpret data, and effectively communicate with co-workers and leadership.


  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs

  • Must be a team player and able to communicate effectively with co-workers and leadership

  • Previous metal working experience preferred including CNC Press Brake programming/setup experience

  • Previous pain and/or powder coating application experience preferred
