JPMorgan Chase Executive Director - CARD Lending Operation in Wilmington, Delaware

The Executive Director leading development efforts for critical road map application for CARD Lending Operation. Will own end-to end responsibility for multiple critical applications / function’s that support global Lending Operation call centers. This includes ensuring application compliance with risk and controls policies and timely risk remediation, disaster recovery planning, budget planning, managing project priority and team capacity, and identifying and mitigating project risks to deliver solutions on time.

In addition, the Executive Director will build positive relationships with IT and business partners to understand strategy and the implication on applications and provide input, influence decisions, and drive change across technology, not limited by organizational lines or to activities within their own department.

Responsibilities:

· Manage 40+ development staff globally supporting multiple technologies.

· Manage application roadmaps, book of work, and team capacity.

· Create work estimates based on technology concepts and requirements documentation.

· Coordinate development efforts across multiple Agile development teams, QA’s, BA’s, product owners, co-suppliers, vendors, architects, and business partners.

· Closely partner with production support leadership and architecture to ensure24/7/365 application availability, stability, and monitoring.

· Manage Audit, Risk and Controls agenda.

· Growth of technical skillsets, business knowledge, & professional aptitude of team leads.

· Manage roadmap to ensure code quality through unit tests, automated functional tests, and test-driven development.

· Develop and define strategic and technical goals, roadmaps to achieve those goals, and success criteria to confirm goals have been met.

· Work with technology team to articulate roadmap progress and coordinate with other team members to make decisions regarding solution constraints, technical limitations, or directions.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field.

  • Ten plus years of experience in information technology field, with a minimum of five managing multiple teams of technologists.Agile team experience preferred.

· Broad technology experience encompassing development, infrastructure, and operations including but not limited to:

o Sound technical knowledge in BPM, Case Management technology stack specially PEGA PRPC platform.

o Strong / working knowledge in Web Services exposure.

o Experiences and knowhow of contact center applications development/ integration with voice and other communication channels.

o Strong execution experience by leveraging/integrating multiple application stacks that are internal or self developed or developed by partner (internal / external) to deliver the vision / road map.

o Recent experience with Cloud native application development, Cloud deployment, and Cloud application refactoring.

o Well versed in 12-factor application patterns, microservice architecture patterns, and server less compute patterns.

o Strong technical acumen in several of the following technologies, platforms, and frameworks: Java, Spring MVC, WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, Oracle, IIS, C#, ASP MVC, SQL Server, TDD, Junit, MSTest, Selenium, Cucumber, AWS, Azure, REST, Javascript, CSS

o Working knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems

o Knowledge of architecture best patterns and practices

· Experience managing large technology budgets, including:

o Staffing – both direct and contractors

o Equipment & Software purchases

o Maintenance contracts

· Key Skills

o Ability to build relationships across business groups and technology organizations

o Must have excellent written, interpersonal, relationship and negotiating skills

o Ability to effectively manage a complex and demanding book of work that supports varying business groups

o Advanced IT, process improvement, and problem solving skills

o Comfortable presenting to senior management in JPMC

  • Experienced in highly available, high scalable application/service/database development.

  • Experience with budgetary forecasting, Performance, automation, production issue triage / mitigation, risk and vulnerability management, disaster recovery planning.

This position is anticipated to require the use of one or more High Security Access (HSA) systems.
