LMI Aerospace Machine Operator in Wichita, United States


The individual in this position is expected to run production on CNC machining centers, deburr and blend machined parts; perform in-process inspection of machined parts to verify conformance to customer requirements/specifications.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Run production on CNC machining center according to the day’s work schedule

  • Monitor and verify parts that are being run to ensure conformance to engineer drawings and quality standards

  • Read and interpret basic dimensions and tolerances of a blue print

  • Deburr parts as needed

  • Ensure paperwork is filled out properly and maintained as necessary

  • Maintains clean and safe operations by adhering to safety procedures, rules and regulations

  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs if needed

Qualifications, Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • GED/High School Education required / Trade School and 0 – 2 yrs of experience with CNC machining

  • Ability to communicate well effectively both verbally and written with other employees and supervision

  • Ability to multitask and maintain organized area

  • Able to concentrate, focus, and pay strict attention to detail to fulfill roles and responsibilities

  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a team

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to focus on roles and responsibilities in the midst of distractions

  • Able to work in shop floor environment

  • Physical demands of the job include: stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, fingering, and climbing as needed during shift
