Maintenance OperatorSeeking a full time employee in a 24/7/365 plastic extrusion operation, producing high quality polyethylene products. The primary role of this position will be to maintain and improve the mechanical integrity of equipment in order to achieve safe, reliable, and incident-free operations. Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Consistently contribute to a safe work culture. Perform assignments in a manner that improves and enhances teamwork, plant organization, and efficiency. Repair, clean, and maintain extrusion process and plant equipment. Troubleshoot and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical equipment. Make necessary repairs and recommend improvements. Weld or use a cutting torch to fabricate or repair plant equipment. Perform alignments, mechanical rebuilds, and metal fabrication. Utilizes various tools, including forklifts, power and hand tools, as well as a torch in order to accomplish duties. Qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following: Must be 18 or older, have a high school diploma or GED, be proficient in English, and have a valid driverand#39;s license. Prefer candidate with a minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of Industrial Maintenance experience and/or two (2) years of training from a technical school with courses related to Industrial Maintenance. Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. Must work safely, adhere to all safety requirements, have a passion for safety, and have a stable work history. Required to stand and walk throughout the work day and lift up to 50 lbs. Candidate must have basic computer, math, and print reading skills, as well as, good troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems. A basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Control based systems is desired. Solid skills required in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, welding, metal fabrication, pump and gearbox repair, and maintenance of all plant and process equipment.
