The Universal Operations Specialist position in a Santander branch is aleadership role in customer service, sales, and branch operations. A UniversalOperations Specialist is responsible for ensuring operational integrity andcompliance for the entire branch, including both sales and service functions.
Act as a supporting role to the Platform toensure Platform Team Members adhere to operation policies and procedures
Ensuring total customer satisfaction by meeting allthe financial needs of a customer: product, servicing, and transactional
Identify the financial needs of the customer atthe transaction window, at the platform desk, or in the branch lobby or duringout of the branch sales activities depending on branch needs and customervolume
Achievement of all assigned sales, customerservice, and sales activity goals by executing a model branch day scheduleincluding outbound phone contact to customers and prospects, in branch and outof branch sales activities, as well as other sales activities as directed
Acquires and maintains customer relationshipsover the entire lifecycle of the customer by identifying and understanding thefinancial needs of a customer or prospect
Recommend appropriate solutions to meet customerneeds and provides excellent customer service
As needed the Universal Operations Specialistwill effectively facilitate the referral of the customer to a specialist whocan assist in meeting a specific need
Ensure error free and accurate completion of allcustomer requests including: account openings, loan applications, servicingrequests, loan closings, and routine bank transactions
Act as the in branch expert regarding bankpolicies, procedures, and compliance.
Ensure that the entire branch team supports andremains in compliance with all audits, security, and regulatory procedures
Process all transactions accurately, and handlescash effectively so that each day they successfully balance their cash drawer
Handle operations responsibilities that includethe vault cash, custodial responsibility for the branch’s ATM,completing audits and other operational control measures
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales/referralgoals
At least one years of sales and referralexperience in a goal or incentive-based environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities for selfand others
Skilled in understanding and managing retailbranch operations including policy, procedures, compliance, and security
Knowledge of bank products and services
Skill in addressing and resolving customer issues
Skilled in engaging customers/prospects in asales conversation and optimizing sales opportunities
Minimum of 6 months of operational experiencewithin a financial related organization or other related industry
Exceptional computer knowledge and Windows skillsrequired
Incompliance with the requirements outlined within the Compensation Requirementsunder the Truth-in-Lending Act (LO Comp Rule) effective January 1st 2014;Santander Bank will now perform a credit check as part of, and inaddition to, the existing background check for all positions where one mustperform job functions of a loan originator as defined by the LO Comp Rule.
