Penski Staffing Production Operator in Watertown, New York
The Production Operator will tend to special purpose production equipment, which punches holes, forms, and roles plastic hoses used in drip irrigation systems.
Multiple positions available, various shifts!
Work 3.5 days/week, 12 hour days, with 3.5 days off (Sunday- Wednesday or Wednesday-Sunday)! Employees average 40.5 hours/week. Overtime will be required.
Read temperatures of heat seal equipment, take grams and record information.
Maintain quality of product.
Cut samples of finished hose using hand cutter.
Take dimensions of finished product using scale, micrometer, and vernier.
Label samples to be inspected by quality control inspector, and finish rolls of product.
Cut cores, assemble reels and bale scrap.
Rewind rolls of product.
Wrap and label pallets.
Perform miscellaneous tasks as needed, such as clean-up and/ or assisting other operators.
Lift and carry rolls of film and hose. (Maximum of 92lbs.)
Maintain control of company property in his/her custody.
Be knowledgeable of products and qualify requirements.
Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
High School Diploma or GED
Basic math knowledge to count and measure accurately; add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
Must be able to work in a fast paced, noisy work environment.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 92 lbs.
Must be able to primarily work standing up
Demonstrate accuracy, reliability, responsibility, and thoroughness.
