Job Skills / Requirements

For current transitioning FPS officers at incumbent locations (DC9).

Responsibilities: The Protective Service Officer will assist Federal Protective Service in the protection of Federal facilities, property, employees, and facility guests on behalf of the people of the United States.

Requirements: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma Must be a United States Citizen Must have at least 2 years security experience or prior military

Responsibility:

Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing internal and external customers with timely, quality and courteous stakeholder service. Make sure the sites forms are filled out completely for your particular shift. Understand why adherence to policy is important and can communicate that to others. Able to process American Security Programs documents or complete American Security Programs forms. Patrol to ensure that only authorized personnel/ vehicles enter facilities.

Hourly Pay Rate, Plus Health and Welfare

Mandatory Certifications for Protective Service Officers: Must be able to provide Exhibit 3A (Contractor Basic 64 or 72 hour), and Exhibit 3B (Contractor Basic Weapons 40 hour), Exhibit 3D (Contractor Refresher, if applicable) Firearms Qualification (Shoot sheet with score or Exhibit 3B or 3F) AED/CPR & First Aid Baton & OC Final Suitability Letter or Recent Preliminary Favorable Letter

Education Requirements (Any)

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certification Requirements (All)

OC Spray Certificate CPR/AED/SFA Certificate
