American Security Programs is currently seeking DC Armed Special Police Officers in Washington, D.C.

A minimum of experience in one of the following areas:

Military Police Experience and or Law Enforcement Experience Completion of state certified Law Enforcement Education and Training or Police Officer Standard Training course

Requirements: Must be an United States Citizen Minimum of three (3) years experience with a firearm Excellent communication skills and report writing capabilities Excellent customer service capacity Available to work a minimum of 32 hours a week (12 hour shifts) Available to work Holidays.

Additional PREFERRED Qualifications:

DC SPO License (Active, non-expired) Protective Security Officer qualifications 64hr or 72hr Basic SGIM/SMART Book Training 40hr Initial Weapons Training MEB Certification Adult & Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification

All Applicants MUST be able to: Obtain a Suitability Clearance;

Obtain a DC SPO Armed Guard License Pass all required FPS training, certifications, and licensing

Job Skills/Requirements

Support the security of the building and agency by withholding the integrity of the statement of work and abiding by all rules and regulations as a Special Police Officer.

Be familiar with all state requirements and with the local jurisdictional criteria for Special Police Officers. Not inclusive - Man post in accordance with government Post Orders Perform vehicular searches to detect unauthorized material and prevent its access into the building Serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions Detect suspicious activities and watch for criminal acts or client rule infractions at or near assigned post which may be a threat to the property, client or employees at the site Report all incidents, accidents or medical emergencies Respond to emergencies, such as medical and bomb threats, and alarms, such as fire and intrusion, by following emergency response proceedings Physically control violent or unruly crowds

CPR/AED/SFA Certificate
