This position performs a wide variety of complex administrative duties, transactions, and responsibilities in support of cemetery operations.
Major areas of responsibilities include: coordination of committal, interments and pre-registration programs in accordance with prescribed operating/regulatory requirements; provision of budget and financial receivables and payable, requisitions, invoices and purchase orders; administration of United States Department of Veterans Affairs (USDVA) headstones and markers; providing information to the public concerning cemetery eligibility, and coordination with funeral homes and family members.
The incumbent provides assistance to the Cemetery Director on projects, meetings, ceremonial events, and various departmental requirements. The incumbent also performs related duties in pre- and post-interment service activities with funeral homes, family members and cemetery personnel.

Minimally-qualified applicants will have:
- Administrative support experience (e.g., Track and maintain files, draft and respond to correspondence, maintain records of inventories, coordinate and schedule activities, prepare and submit requisitions, procurement of goods, etc.); and
- Customer service experience (e.g., Inform and assist customers, serve as a liaison between organizations, handle public complaints, etc.)
Well-qualified applicants will also have:
- Experience providing customer service to veterans (e.g., Determine benefits eligibility, distribute program information to veterans, etc.); and
- Experience providing cemetery operations support (e.g., Maintain cemetery maps and floral policies, order headstones, coordinate with funeral directors, etc.)

Type of Employment: Full Time (40 hrs/week)
Salary: Starting wage is $15.42 per hour, plus an attractive benefits package. This position is in pay schedule and range 02-11. For current and eligible former State employees, compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan. A 12-month probation period will be required.
