JOB DESCRIPTION: Operations Assistant OBJECTIVE: Provide administrative support along with clerical tasks that aid the daily business of operations. REPORTS TO: V.P. Operations ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in performing tasks necessary to achieve the organization s mission on day- to- day operations. Work with the V.P. of Operations in strategies for success. Focus on areas of customer service, automation development, finance, office administration and material planning. Monitor day-to-day operational activities with the V.P. of Operations to ensure that all organizational needs are being met effectively and in a timely manner. Monitor inventory at various locations. Conduct, organize and oversee physical inventories. Internal and External purchasing activity and organization. Customer Order Processing Order Acknowledgement and organization of scheduling shipment. Maintenance and Distribution of annual price list. Receiving Inventory into System, Issue and Receive Work Orders Construct Bill of Materials in System Product Costing Produce various sales reports upon demand Ensure monthly inventory closing balance accuracy. Complete monthly reporting for Accounting and Sales departments. Work on short and long-term projects as assigned. Compose and implement company procedures. Assist with staff training. Prepare responses to requests for information, inquiries and reports as needed. Assist Accounting with data reconciliations. Back-up and Fill in as needed for customer service and warehouse. Assign staff duties and assist with resolutions issues. Conduct other duties as needed or assigned. Recognize and be responsive to various internal divisions within the organization. Assist Warehouse personnel with data entry, document Control, product disposition Inventory Control and Work Orders. Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree + three (3) years in accounting or related field experience. Preparing, reading, interpreting and analyzing financial statements Good verbal/written communication skills Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Knowledgeable in employee medical and 401k benefits. SAP B1 Operations and Accounting Experience preferred.
