Senior Coating Operator (Second Shift -- 3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.)

Very Important Note: This person hired for this position will initially start working on first shift (7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) for training purposes and then transition to working second shift hours (3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.) once the initial training phase is completed.

Essential Job Functions:

Execute manufacturing processes in accordance with manufacturing work orders.

Perform machine changeovers, cleaning and set up as required.

Troubleshoot and make appropriate adjustments to maintain product specifications.

Ensure adherence to quality standards during all stages of the manufacturing process.

Complete manufacturing documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Maintain compliance at all times with related SOPs and cGMPs in the manufacturing process.

Perform duties through the proper, safe use of equipment, according to Health & Safety procedures and Equipment Manuals.

Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Must have at least 5 years of coating experience within a pharmaceutical production environment. Additional experience in granulation, compression, dispensing, and/or blending a strong plus.

Minimum successful completion of high school diploma. College certificate or University degree in a related discipline is an asset.

Solid knowledge of fundamental cGMP and regulatory requirements in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Experience in the Compounding area.

Good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures including OH&S; Act.

Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a high performance team.

Successful completion of the literacy and numeracy evaluation.

Strong mathematical and organizational skills.

Must be capable of bending and lifting, moving and/or carrying up to approximately 50 - 75 pounds.

Must have the ability to navigate office, lab, and/or plant floor working environments, stands, ambulates, and reaches.

Must have the ability to wear applicable personal protective equipment utilized at the site, including but not limited to respirators, safety glasses/goggles, and safety shoes.

Must have English language fluency, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.
