The Production Operator is an entry level role that creates value by learning multiple positions within the plant while providing backup assistance and relief to their teammates. Candidates who acquire the knowledge and skills to be successful in this role will have the opportunity to advance to other positions within the Extrusion Operation.

n


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


+ Adhering to all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures

n

+ Operating equipment to defined standards and product specification targets

n

+ Inspecting product to ensure quality measures are met

n

+ Maintaining cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift




What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:



n


+ High School Diploma or GED

n

+ Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day

n

+ Willing and able to work eight (8) or twelve (12) hour rotating shifts that could include weekends and holidays

n

+ Willing and able to work overtime as needed

n

+ Willing and able to work in a sometimes hot, cold, dusty and noisy industrial environment

n

+ Willing and able work around dust, oil, grease, chemicals and other substances

n

+ Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment, i.e.: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots and other PPE as required by specific jobs




What Will Put You Ahea ?

Preferred Qualifications:



n


+ Experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, farm/ranch or military environment

n

+ A two (2) year degree (or higher) in process technology, instrumentation, maintenance or electronics from an accredited institution

n

+ Candidates who have successfully completed or are current participants in good standing as part of the UAM CTC / Crossett Fame Advanced Manufacturing Technician program or the SouthArk Community College Process Technology program
