Baton Rouge General Guest Services Operator - Guest Services in United States
Efficiently and courteously processes all incoming calls. Facilitates emergency code paging, voice paging and other internal communications. Operates a multi-station switchboard by answering calls, routing calls and assisting internal and external customers. Demonstrates effectiveness in operating telephone switchboard to receive, route and place calls accurately. Maintains awareness of General Health System departments, programs, functions and personnel to facilitate proper call routing. Maintain accurate department logs and forms and demonstrate proper method of overhead paging and external paging to contact physician/staff. Performs all other duties as assigned.
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum 1 year experience in switchboard, receptionist, or clerical work preferred with strong customer service and interpersonal skills
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED preferred.
SPECIAL SKILL, LICENSE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Computer skills and/or switchboard experience preferred. Ability to demonstrate telephone etiquette handling calls with courtesy, accuracy and respect for confidentiality.
