Fighter Squadron Operations Training Specialist
Key Role:Review and update student and permanent party records, folders, and grade books per the applicable Air Force Instructions, including AFI 11–202V1 and AFI 11–2MDS–V1, associated installation supplements, and locally developed guidance. Administer classes and exams, as required, coordinate with schedulers to ensure crewmembers are scheduled for Crew Resource Management, Instructor Crew Resource Management, Instrument Refresher Course, and other grounding or pre–deployment training requirements. Perform weekly individual gradebook checks of personnel training and ancillary training requirements and prepare and execute periodic training and testing plans for approval and scheduling. Provide weekly updates to squadron leadership containing the flight and readiness status of personnel to facilitate tracking of duty status and performance report and decoration accomplishment. Provide daily tracking of upgrade and continuation training accomplishment for the unit Operations Supervisor or equivalent and weekly summaries for the squadron Operations Officer (DO). Assist with the development of new curricula and syllabi for aircrew inflight and ground training. Compile monthly and quarterly Ready Aircrew Program (RAP) reports and RAP inputs to Wing OSS Training, as required.
-5 years of experience with working in a DoD Flying Squadron, Group, and Wing training program with at least 2 of those years of experience in working in a Squadron, Group, and Wing training program
-2 years of experience in working with PEX or similar proprietary scheduling program
-2 years of experience in working with Microsoft Access, Excel, and SharePoint
-Active Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills-Possession of excellent time management, organizational, and follow–through skills-Rated Aircrew preferred
