Cybersecurity Operation Engineer

Key Role:

Apply a broad understanding of monitoring, analyzing, detecting, and responding to Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks. Advise on an integrated, dynamic Cyber defense and leverage Cybersecurity solutions to deliver Cybersecurity operational services, including intrusion detection and prevention, situational awareness of network intrusions, security events and data spillage, and incident response actions. Test, implement, deploy, and operate, the infrastructure hardware and software which are required to effectively manage the organization’s Cybersecurity operational services. Support the Cyber and Information Assurance government lead as the principal liaison with DON CIO, CYBERCOM, SPAWARSYSCOM, and provider activities on information assurance issues. Create and maintain necessary documentation to support Cyber and IA requirements related to all policy, standards, and regulations while working towards attainment of the necessary system and related certifications. Assist with evaluation of the ePS solution to identify risk, asses the solution for risk from attack or intrusion, recommend safeguards and protections to manage and mitigate risks, document system security plans, policies, and procedures, and perform system security accreditation and certification. Assist with identification of IT security program implications of new technologies or technology upgrades.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with Navy and DoD Certification and Accreditation

-Experience in Data Center and Enterprise Hosting environments

-Knowledge of large-scale Enterprise systems with multiple interconnections and a wide user base

-Ability to meet DoD 8570-01M IAT Level III requirements with a CISSP or equivalent and system and network certifications

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Clearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
