Janus Global Operations, LLC CBRNE Survey Operator (Notional Opportunity) in United States

Primary Function:

Responsible for conducting vulnerability assessments, preparedness and facility inspections for facilities in post conflict zones by providing technical evaluation, advice and guidance. To actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values.

Essential Functions:

  • Determine potential and evaluate the effects of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), Chemical / Biological / Nuclear (CBRN) threats, Toxic Industrial Chemicals / Materials (TIC/TIM), and Hazmat hazards as well as weaponizable precursors

  • Evaluate potential for development of unconventional/ improvised dispersal devices

  • Evaluate and help develop Emergency Response and Consequence Management plans

  • Identify all aspects of WMD- related issues and providing recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilities

  • Interface with facility managers (academic, industrial, governmental) to survey and recommend CBRNE/ WMD precursor security and prevention

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience assessing and analyzing WMD hazards and their impact or managing CBRNE prevention/ consequence management

  • Understanding of the WMD threat environment and potential methods of employing WMD in a variety of scenarios and conditions and understands threats posed by hazardous industrial and academic materials

  • Understanding of WMD mitigation measures, technologies

  • Understand force protection and emergency management programs as they apply to managing WMD incidents and response measures and be knowledgeable of current WMD/CBRNE R&D programs as well as improvised CBRNE threats

  • Knowledge of health effects, CBRN/hazmat detection, identification sampling, Emergency Response and Consequence Management.

  • Experience with personal protective equipment/facility/infrastructure protection, including familiarity with hazard plume modeling.

  • Understanding of facility vulnerability assessment fundamentals and principles

  • Must be willing to travel OCONUS

  • Ability to work in a remote and potentially austere location

  • If former military, must have received an honorable discharge

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements dictated by project requirements

  • Must be able to pass a physical approving candidate for overseas work

  • Must possess valid passport

  • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation at a frequency as required by contract
