Can you envision being a key player on the Communications and Information Technology Services (CITS) program in Stuttgart, Germany?

CITS represents IT transformation and innovation on a large project with the shared objective to sustain and optimize mission critical operations and provides full life-cycle O&M and Engineering support to EUCOM and AFRICOM.

We are seeking System Security Support (Operations Systems Administrator) in Stuttgart, Germany. The role is for SHIFT workers.

Provides Tier II and Tier III troubleshooting and problem resolution for classified and unclassified Microsoft Server Operating System technologies including Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2012 R2 in a geographically distributed environment. Reviews, researches, and applies system and application patches, hotfixes, service packs, and security configuration from CYBERCOM and DISA STIG compliance. Provide operation center coordination of Authorized System Interruption (ASI) and Preventative Maintenance and Inspection (PMI) to the command Researches and implements lessons learned for unplanned system/application outages. Will support management of Enterprise Active Directory, AD-Integrated DNS, External DNS, DHCP, and Distributed File Services.


Required skills :

  • Experience in tier 3 support of core Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Server 2008R2, Server 2012 R2, DNS, DHCP.

  • Experience with ticket tracking systems for server, and services outages and provide incident and problem management solutions.

  • Experience with prioritizing and triaging request for services to the supporting technology teams.

  • Experience with completing routine interpretation and implementation of related DISA STIGs and CYBERCOM TASKORDs to enhance the security posture of the environment.

  • Experience with managing physical and virtual servers

  • PKI Token configuration and troubleshooting

  • Experience with Server 2008 R2 and Server 2012 R2 operating systems to include installation, configuration, patching, and maintenance.

Desired skills :

  • Familiarity with the DISA STIG and IAVM process

  • Proficient with Group Policy Object, Sites and Services and other AD related functions/tools

  • Proficiency in develop and maintaining SOPs/TTPs for enterprise servers and applications.


One of the following computing environment certification is required:

  • Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 – 410

  • Administering Windows Server 2012 – 411

  • Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services -412

  • CompTIA Sec + (to meet IAW DoD 8570.1 Technical Level II)

Special Requirements:

  • Candidates must have an active Secret Clearance

  • Travel is required

  • Shift hours

  • Must meet TESA requirements
