Operational Transaction Services is a USD400 million business for TAS globally. This practice was set up in 2005 and has been growing rapidly ever since. Early marquee clients include the carve-out of Daimler-Chrysler and the integration of Lenovo and IBM.

Here in Asia-Pacific, Operational Transaction Services (OTS) has strong presence in Oceania, Greater China and ASEAN. The combined business is about USD 50 million with 15 partners and 200 professionals located in major cities, e.g. Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.

OTS provides a full range of operationally focused services including operational due diligence, post-merger integration or carve-out support, synergy identification and operational turnaround.

Within the Asia-Pacific TAS practice, we are looking for managers to join our Operational Transaction Services (OTS) group. Members of our Operational Transaction Services team work directly with our clients, within an engagement team, to deliver our services to our clients.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities

  • Manage client engagement teams executing Operational Transaction Services which support key decision makers in developing and executing their transaction strategy to secure deal value.

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of integrations, carve-outs, and other types of transaction engagements.

  • Demonstrate excellent skills in project execution, including synergy assessment, project management, problem-solving, and facilitation.

  • Assist in identifying risks and issues related to integration planning, timelines, and functional areas.

  • Develop effective client relationships at the appropriate client level and be responsible for a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products. Assist in business development activities including preparing presentations and attending pursuit meetings with clients to help sell work.

  • Assist in leading internal practice initiatives to help continually improve the Operational Transaction Services practice

  • Be responsible for fostering an open and inclusive work environment. Help people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring all levels of staff

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

  • A bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a post-graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience

  • A degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, computer science or related field

  • Management consulting experience, or experience working in a large corporate, preferably in a corporate development or strategy role

  • Experience in working across transactions or business transformations (preferred but not necessary)

  • Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop and maintain networks and relationships with both external and internal contacts

  • Leadership experience of people and teams along with business development experience gained from a transactions-related or professional services background.

  • Successful candidates must be committed to staying abreast of cutting-edge industry knowledge and have the ability to quickly anticipate and respond to the issues of a networked and constantly changing global economy.

The successful candidate must also be willing and able to travel, when necessary.
