Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team works with clients to manage their capital agenda to drive competitive advantage and increased returns. As part of a global team of 10,000 professionals in 100 countries you will advise clients on preserving, optimising, raising or investing capital. Major groups (or, as we call them, sub-service lines and competencies) within TAS include Mergers and Acquisition Services, Project Finance, Restructuring Services, Operational Transaction Services, Transaction Support, Transaction Tax, and Valuation and Business Modelling.

Join our Operational Transaction Services team and provide clients a full range of hands-on, operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle, supporting both buyers and sellers. We cover a wide range of operational aspects, including carve-out readiness and support, operational due diligence and restructuring, synergy assessment and delivery, day-one readiness assessment, and 100-day planning, supporting the integration process, integration and assessments of carve-out/stand-alone costs and risks.

Qualifications:

The IT Mergers and Integration team focuses on providing clients with deal-specific IT advice and services helping to minimise risks and maximise value throughout all stages of the transaction lifecycle.

The team provides a range of buy- and sell-side IT services to clients including IT due diligence, transition planning and support, post-merger integration, and carve out separation.

Focussing on the IT elements of transactions, we work as an integrated member of the wider EY Transaction Advisory Services team. The team is made up of internationally experienced transaction practitioners and industry leaders, with extensive commercial experience in business and IT across a variety of sectors. Our clients include large corporations, private equity, mid-market industry leaders, and local, state and Commonwealth government departments and agencies

The EY IT Mergers and Integrations team is one of the few dedicated IT transaction teams in the Asia Pacific market, and has experienced rapid growth in recent years. As a result, the team is looking to continue to expand and talk to experienced management consultants and industry experts who are keen to be part of this successful IT transactions team.

Outlined below are some of the technical skills and experience required to work in IT Mergers and Integrations at EY.

Skills requirements

Ideally you will have a combination of the following:

  • Transactions experience with up-to-date technical IT capability and the ability to convey issues relating to core business applications, IT infrastructure, IT financials and the dynamics of an IT function to a non-technical audience

  • Knowledge and capability to perform transition planning and support, IT post-merger integration, or separation/carve-outs

  • Commercial industry experience in a managerial capacity, including managing IT costs, people management responsibilities, and IT operations

  • IT advisory and consulting within a professional services environment

  • Programme and project management expertise with demonstrable experience in managing and being responsible for the delivery of successful programmes

  • Strong writing skills and experience producing high calibre reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership

  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills

  • Strong team working skills
