The Digital Archive Operations Manager is an integral member of the Global Media Operations Content Management, Archive Operations Team, located within 10 Universal City Plaza in Universal City, California. This individual will be responsible for operations management, reliability, integrity, quality and safeguarding of NBCUniversal Feature & Television digital archival assets in the Global Media Operations digital archive. The Digital Archive Operations Manager will partner with key stakeholders across operations, divisions and engineering on existing workflows, best practices and SOPs for workflows for archiving and managing our digital vaults.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversight of the Media Quality Operators (MQO) team.
Support daily content ingest and tracking from internal and external groups and post facilities.
Support daily content restore and tracking.
Work with content suppliers and content users in defining and implementing archive restore workflows
Support daily file management functions as well as special projects including; migrations, file archive on-boarding, validation and purging.
Serve as a key subject matter expert in digital archiving, storage, migration of assets, file management and metadata.
Conduct archive audits, content reviews and have responsibility for the overall health of the digital assets and the archive.
Interact with technology and business partners to keep abreast of changes in technology, formats, processes, storage and system solutions in support of evolving business needs.
Create, maintain and revise as needed; process maps, user stories, workflows, and standard operating procedures
Responsible for achieving a monthly SLA target of 99.999% and driving excellence in customer experience, data and file integrity.
Responsible for archive analytics, metrics, quality and reporting. Regularly reporting out critical metrics on a monthly basis to leadership.
Work closely with the Director, Archive Operations, Technology Engineers and the Preservation team to ensure company assets are protected, maintained and preserved
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing a MAM system infrastructure, asset inventory and/or supervision of an archive operations department including staff management.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or other related field associated with native digital, file storage and file management.
Solid understanding of the creation, maintenance and long-term migration of digital assets
Thorough knowledge in working with Microsoft Office suite of applications, database applications, and inventory management applications
Design and implementation of a MAM system and supply chain management experience desired Eligibility Requirements
