Management Concepts, Inc. is currently recruiting for a Director of Consulting Operations. In this role, you will work with members of the consulting and training divisions to develop and deliver human capital consulting solutions; coordinate business administration and logistics; and represent Management Concepts in meetings/discussions with clients, consultants and vendors. The incumbent will provide for the administrative and financial management of the People & Performance Consulting Division. Working across organizational boundaries you will architect solutions for human capital and organizational change management engagements, assist in sales and business development activities, coach and advise colleagues on the effective management and delivery of consulting engagements. The Director of Consulting Operations will play a key leadership role in responding to Federal request for proposals, including defining win themes, providing guidance to technical solution development, and serving as the lead writer on the technical and management volumes for major proposal responses.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead all Consulting Practice operations and manage consulting staff in support of human capital, learning, and organizational change management projects.
Collaborate with Executive Directors and Managing Directors in the development of consultative solutions to challenges for public and private sector clients.
Develop strategies and business plans for advancement of the company’s consulting capabilities.
Collaborate with marketing to publicize consulting capabilities and individual expertise to address client needs.
Support Company sales efforts.
Author and present on relevant topics in appropriate forums on behalf of the Company.
Maintain professional certification and memberships in appropriate professional associations.
Manage operations to conform to approved budget and business plans.
Coach and mentor consulting staff as part of an overall development program.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong organizational, planning, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Ability to develop and nurture solid relationships with key clients, consultants, and internal team members.
Solid oral, written, presentation and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop compelling technical solutions in response to Federal requests for proposal.
Proven ability to create, manage and lead high performing teams.
Capable of juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines.
An entrepreneurial spirit.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Master’s degree or in organizational psychology, organization development, applied psychology, human resources, or a human capital/learning related field required
7 - 10 years of experience delivering human capital or learning related consulting engagements.
Experience designing and delivering data-driven consulting solutions in organization development, human capital or organizational change management.
A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience supporting Federal proposals, including leadership roles for technical solution and pricing development.
