This position is responsible for washing, drying, folding, and distributing company uniforms for Materion employees. Additionally, it will perform janitorial services for certain designated areas such as the men and women's change rooms, breakroom, and a common restroom area on the West side of the building (Metalizing).


Maintain workplace safety as a highest priority and practice safe work principles at all times

Perform quality work within deadlines, make every effort to help achieve business unit objectives

Interact professionally with employees, customers, and suppliers; treat others with dignity and respect

Work effectively as a team participant on all assignments; contribute ideas, support others as needed

Obtain, launder, dry, fold, and distribute employee uniforms as assigned

Operate washers and dryers in accordance with safety standards

Follow proper procedures for the use and handling of chemical cleaners and detergents

Maintain laundry room and equipment in a clean and orderly manner

Make minor repairs to clothing items, i.e., replace buttons, mend torn clothes, etc.

Maintain required inventory levels of uniforms and communicate with various vendors

Clean change room or restroom areas by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming

Gather and empty trash as part of the assigned janitorial services

Service, clean, and supply restrooms

Notify manager concerning the need for major repairs or faulty equipment

Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties

High school education or GED

At least 2 years in a similar service role

Experience with effective laundry or cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies

Fluent in English, internal and external verbal and written communication

Basic computer skills-Word, Excel, Email, SAP work notification entry


Comfortable wearing all forms of personal protective equipment devices such as respirators and protective gloves, work shoes, and eye-wear

Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds

Must maintain consistent attendance as scheduled
