Our Global Tools & Storage division, responsible for $7.5B of that revenue, is currently seeking candidates for a Finance Director for the North America Supply Chain and Distribution organization based in Towson, Maryland.

Background/Summary: The NA GTS business represents a $5B business selling Power Tools (PT), and Hand Tools, Storage and Accessories (HTAS) products. This Operations Finance Director will partner with his/her team and the NA Supply Chain OPS Mgmt team (Distribution, Freight, Supply Chain, Working Capital, Etc.) to help manage the GTS NA Supply Chain. Strong leadership and business partnership skills are mandatory. Work with management team to develop and successfully implement business plans & strategies. Develop, implement and lead effective business management rhythms. The individual should have strong Operational and Supply Chain experience, along with other work experience, operational experience. The ability to effectively work in a complex matrix-management org-structure is absolutely critical.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • NA GTS Supply Chain, Distribution, Working Capital and Freight Mgmt
  • Continuous team development and effective succession planning
  • Long-term strategic plan development; Successful & timely execution there-of
  • Effective business management rhythms (weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual)
  • Continuous process improvements
  • Achieving annual business objectives:
  • Customer Service, Supply Chain Spend, Distribution & Freight Spend, and Working Capital
  • Achieving annual productivity, OM improvement and WCT improvements (DSI and DPO Mgmt)
  • Freight management activities and management tool development (to identify savings oppty)
  • Supply Chain Capex management
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of actual results
  • Acquisitions support -- due-diligence & integration
  • New DC openings and/or DC consolidation/closures
  • SKU-Rationalization Management
  • Special projects, Etc.

Requirements: BS Degree with Acctg or Finance Major | MBA, CPA, other credentials also helpful. 10-20 years of experience, including strong Operations Finance and FP&A; experience (other experience also helpful). Experience in larger dynamic-company environments experiencing growth. Strong people management experience.
