Remote position: Dallas, TX

This position is responsible for supporting designated business units as a strategic partner. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) utilizes a proactive approach to anticipate, assess, and provide HR consulting and problem-solving expertise to meet the needs of the business unit. The HRBP is responsible for driving and developing the capabilities and talent of the business unit, leading HR strategy and initiatives that positively impact overall business performance and HR metrics.

Human Resources Planning, Acquisition and Development - 30%

  • Consult with hiring managers in the development of an appropriate staffing and hiring strategy. Partner with the recruiting team to lead the staffing and recruitment activities for the business unit by sourcing, recruiting, and screening qualified candidates. Analyzes compensation information to make a solid employment offer recommendation to the hiring manager.

  • Coordinate with HR Shared Services and support the development and implementation of talent management initiatives and programs, including performance management, competency modeling, Team Member learning and development, management development, and career development/​succession planning.

  • Consult with Team Members and business unit managers on a wide variety of issues including training needs, poor performance, policy interpretations, career development, leadership skills, conflict management, and other issues impacting productivity and/​or morale.

Establish and Sustain a Productive Work Environment -- 30%

  • Provide input into the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures and their dissemination. Ensure business unit is trained to TSC's employment-related policies and practices.

  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover data to identify potential trends; address concerns with business unit managers and make recommendations for improving the work environment.

  • Develop and implement action plans with business unit managers to support initiatives resulting from the Town Hall Survey.

  • Conduct thorough and confidential investigations in partnership with Employee Relations, business unit managers, and/or Loss Prevention.

  • Consult with Team Members, business unit managers and HR Shared Services regarding leaves of absence needs and status.

Rewards and Incentives (25%)

  • Consult with HR Shared Services regarding reward solutions that best meet the needs of the business unit; develop and execute a timeline to deliver approved programs and practices.

  • Advise managers and Team Members on a wide array of benefits and compensation-related matters; work with HR Shared Services as needed to resolve issues.

  • Assists business unit managers in the development of job descriptions and assist HR Shared Services in the determination of FLSA classification of positions within the business unit.

  • Execute and sustain TSC recognition programs in accordance with approved programs and practices.

Other (15%)

  • Identify opportunities and make recommendations to reduce costs and positively impact metrics by tracking and analyzing key data and trends.

  • Coordinate HR support activities within the HR SSC/DC Teams and HR Shared Services to maximize performance of HR efforts.

  • Work with Business Unit Leaders in a project management capacity to develop and implement innovative approaches, programs and policies/procedures that contribute to performance excellence, customer service focused, Mission and Values driven culture.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university;

  • 5 years experience in an employee relations or HR generalist role; any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
