This position supports Commander, US Marine Corps Component Command of USCENTCOM in Tampa, FL on MacDill AFB. Provides Assistant Chief Of Staff, G-3 Operations Director, with operational analysis and assessment of activities involved in the conduct of component operations. Serves as a source of continuity and expertise regarding the implementation of service and joint policy and doctrine in operations involving MARCENT forces.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Participates in all CENTCOM and Service directed assessments to include the CENTCOM Theater Campaign Plan, the Service Campaign Plan, and other MOE related assessments.
Provide general support to uniformed officers developing three and four star level analysis of force laydown, operations, training, and component reorganization.
Serves as the primary interface with the Director for Marine Corps Lessons Learned, Training and Education Command and will collect, analyze, review, and recommend to the Director and his staff lessons learned input to the Lessons Learned program for MARCENT.
Reviews and provides recommended feedback and draft endorsements to all forward deployed forces Service 60 day assessments.
In this regard the contractor must have an in depth knowledge of USMC structure and capabilities.
Ability to effectively present technical information to reviewers in oral and written formats
Minimum Job Requirements
Minimum of ten (10) years combined experience working at CENTCOM, Marine Corps service component headquarters, MEF, Division, Wing, or Marine Logistics Command.
Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in providing operational analysis and assessment in all activities involved in the conduct of component operations.
Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience providing general support to uniformed officers developing three and four star level analysis of force laydown, operations, training, and component reorganization.
Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in review and providing recommended feedback and draft endorsements to all forward deployed forces Service 60 day assessments.
In depth knowledge of USMC structure and capabilities and comprehensive knowledge of the Table of Organization/Equipment Change Request (TOECR) and Global Force Management (GFM) processes.
Four-year’ college and masters' degree in the field of national security, intelligence and security or related field
OR equivalent education and experience combined. Marine Corps Command and Staff College or equivalent required.
Must be able to travel domestically in an auto, must have a driver’s license or able to obtain a state driver’s license.
Must be a US citizen; must be able to obtain and maintain a US Passport.
Must be able to travel extensively both domestically and internationally unassisted.
Applicant selected will be subject to government security investigation to gain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. Must meet eligibility requirements to access classified information.
