The incumbent will be in charge of managing all month-end and manufacturing costs analysis activities in collaboration with the plant analysts.
In addition of the 4 plants (Victoria, Burnaby, Winnipeg and Edmonton) management accounting supervision, you will be in charge of special projects related to Canada Operations Management Accounting team.
More specifically, the incumbent will:
Supervises the end-of-month process and participates in the analysis of the variances of the factories concerned
Supports ongoing efforts to improve costs, products and activities, including payment and tracking of milk losses at the plant;
Maintains and improves plant controls;
Plays the role of agent of change within factories; Evaluates and questions work methods and procedures on an ongoing basis to ensure that they are financially viable;
Manages the implementation of special projects at the operations level;
Participates in the forecasting process;
Standardizes management tools to facilitate the work of managers and analysts, in collaboration with the Operations Canada management accounting team;
Supervise analysts in Western Canada operations.
Recognized accounting designation (C.A., C.G.A., or C.M.A.);
Bachelor degree in accounting or related field;
5 to 10 years' experience in a related position;
Solid track record in analysis, communication and computer programs (Oracle, Excel).
