This is an hourly position.
The role of Production/Utility Operator III is responsible for the following duties:
Work to be performed
Operate carts, pallet jacks, etc., pull product from lines and store in warehouse or on trucks. The weighing up of micro batches. Must have knowledge of products, codes, warehouse layout, forklift operation, quality storage, packing procedures. Good housekeeping is a must.
Work Duties and Required Skills
Move sacked feed - feed products from end of conveyor production line to warehouse storage, or trucks as required. Lifts feed sacks from conveyor line to hand truck or forklift trucks. Pushes hand trucks / operates forklift trucks to storage or loading area, stack sacked feed in storage or other locations. The weighing of micro batches up for production.
Practice good customer service required by company guidelines. Remember Customer Service is top priority at ADM.
Customer Service Guidelines includes being prompt, courteous, loading customer’s trucks according to ADM ANI procedures within reasonable amount of time with minimum delays.
Work as team player in all processes. Notify Plant Supervisor / Plant Manager as necessary, if any out-of-spec conditions exist. Assure product properly sealed, in proper packages, coded, tagged correctly. Must have adequate training.
Communicate effectively with operators regarding counts, quality of packaging.
Ability to operate fork truck proficiently - in safe manner.
Housekeeping to be performed according to the ADM, Springfield plant Housekeeping plan. Assigned housekeeping duties to be completed.
Safely/efficiently operate all necessary equipment all times in manner so not to harm yourself, your fellow employees/equipment. Follow established safety rules.
Work required overtime.
Perform duties assigned by Plant Manager or Asst Plant Manager.
Fill out necessary paperwork, like order loading forms and customer invoices.
Provide training necessary for new and lesser skilled employees when opportunities arise / assume the stacker / loader position.
Must be able to easily lift materials, as job requires. Ability to life 55 pounds from floor to minimum hgt of 50 inches & to climb ladders.
