Job Purpose & Responsibilities The HR Manager is primarily responsible for the human resource operations for SABIC Singapore Manufacturing site and other smaller sites offices such as Philippines, Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia offices.
To act as business partner to the Plant Manager and his team on all HR issues and their resolutions. Implement HR policies and practices that meet the business needs
Support global / regional initiatives such as Employee Survey and Top Employer Award related activities etc.
Personnel Administration; includes maintain all personnel records are updated in P-file and administer SG government legislated work passes for employees and family
Payroll: Provision of monthly payroll transactions to outsourced payroll vendor for payroll processing. Assist manager in yearend tax submission for all entities under his/her care.
Benefits Administration such as leave system, outpatient medical, dental, optical, (VISTA) Insurance administration (AON), manage Employee Referral Program, Reward & Recognition Program
Training Administration : administer training applications is in accordance with policy, liaise with local institutions on training for employees
Co-ordination of regulatory training requirements for Benoi plant
Support yearly individual performance review process for manufacturing non-exempt employees
Co-ordination for yearly regulatory Manufacturing health examination
Expatriate management and tax assistance (GMEs)
Preparation of all HR monthly accrual to Finance.
Preparation of local regulatory surveys and C&B surveys (Mercer)
HR Representative for Benoi Plant EHS committee
Assist in yearly payroll audits by Ernest & Young
Update and maintain HR SOP and identify opportunities for process improvement for assigned countries.
Support the HR Manager in the implementation of ad-hoc HR projects and initiatives with key drivers on install retention, career planning.
Initiate employee communication programs and recreational activities
Handle work grievances
Diploma/Degree in any discipline, preferably with HR specialization
At least 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in an MNC and manufacturing environment
Manage team experience.
Well-versed in the respective countries labour laws and legislations
Proficient in MS Office applications and HR systems
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Display maturity, tactfulness and confidence in communicating and dealing with all levels of people.
Meticulous and details oriented.
Able to multi task and work under tight datelines.
Possess initiative, resourcefulness and analytical to solve problems and work out issues.
Pleasant personality, self-motivated and ability to work independently and with team.
Ability to adapt to change by continuously improving tasks and work methods.
