  • Learn how to perform all the process steps in the work area, in order to develop a clear understanding of each process, and of the product builder inputs and responsibilities in-line with performance and product quality.

  • Communicating and monitoring daily targets and performance throughout the day driven by a goal of 100% OTIF delivery.

  • Coach and support the team members to ensure that they are capable of achieving targets both in terms of output and quality, and that there is a clear understanding of expectation, and that any issues they may have are dealt with proactively.

  • Support / drive continuous improvement in the work area, through problem solving, daily team meetings, focus on issues and problems that impact production, and implementing a culture of compliance.

  • Give input for updating work standards as necessary for changes that take place and improvements that are made.

  • Make certain that operators do their jobs according to standard work, and ensure that the lines are balanced to attain required levels of performance.

  • Support the business as necessary, across other lines and for other team leads when required. Focus on team work and support.

  • Ensure that training / cross training is complete for the work area, maintaining a plan to ensure flexibility and full process cover, and putting plans in place to ensure this on an ongoing basis.

  • Seek help for the team from support organisation when problems cannot be solved within the team.

  • Ensure that resources are available for team to achieve targets to meeting output and on time in full goals, dealing proactively with absenteeism issues.

  • Drive compliance in the work area in line with GDP, GMP and Quality requirements.

  • Support for business initiatives as required, dealing with changes to work methods and processes in a positive manner, and striving to meet business goals and objectives.
