Brief Description

The primary responsibility of the Tactical Missile Systems Operations Manager is to manage and coordinate the manufacturing operations, product manufacturing processes, composite manufacturing, and equipment operations. The Tactical Missile Systems Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the product quality and delivery schedule requirements for the assigned Business Area. The Tactical Missile Systems Operations Manager position will be based at the AV Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in Simi Valley, California.

**Specific responsibilities include:

  • Execution for production for Tactical Missile Systems (TMS) business area, including hardware deliverables for development programs and other prototype activities.

  • Integral part of make / buy process.

  • Works closely with the other functional leaders and Program Managers to execute key objectives.

  • Ensure best practice, workmanship and other required training is accomplished for assigned personnel.

  • Ensure product quality and delivery schedule requirements for planning, composite fabrication, composite & mechanical subassemblies, and final integration and testing of systems.

  • Change Management leader, lead implementation task forces to implement stages of best practices.

  • Conducts tactical planning and execution for programs as agreed with functions and business area for production and composite fabrication.

  • Maintains standards and ensures delivery of product for the program within schedule and budget.

  • Set-up, maintain, and ensure compliance with supply chain and manufacturing operations standards and processes.

  • Interacts with customers as needed and performs production readiness reviews and operations reviews.

  • Manage product quality improvements, cost reduction, and process control initiatives.

  • Assists with achieving annual Business Area operating performance objectives and metrics.
