;Amazon’s US Books team is seeking a talented, driven, and entrepreneurial Senior Product Manager to lead Operations for a breakthrough new product offering. This confidential project, launching later this year, will unlock a strategic customer segment opportunity for Books, with significant opportunity to expand across Amazon. This role provides a unique opportunity to play a key role in a groundbreaking new initiative at Amazon. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with proven experience defining and developing processes and delivering results.

The successful candidate will be comfortable thinking strategically, while able to execute every operational detail. This role interacts closely with retail and operations business partners across Amazon, and is pivotal to the creation and growth of this strategic initiative. Key Responsibilities:

· Own complete supply chain for new product, including inventory management, forecast improvement, and fulfillment solution;

· Lead operations for product launch;

· Identify, manage and remove cost throughout the supply chain;

· Lead business reporting and insights;

· Define approach and tools to manage inventory;

· Work with internal teams to help drive tools and process improvements;

· Define new solutions to novel operations challenges associated with this new product, with direct impact on an improved CX;

· Following launch, leverage customer behavior insights to optimize our operations solution

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline

· 6+ years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Instock Management or Vendor Management / Buying

· MBA or Graduate degree in Business preferred

· Advanced SQL and Excel skills, familiarity with statistics or other analytical techniques

· Superior analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to dive in and quickly understand root cause and identify scalable solutions

· Must possess excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done

· Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

· High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

· Excellent collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels

· Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves
