The Metro Long Hall Sourcing Manager will collaborate with the networking engineering, supply chain operations, NPI, legal, finance, and worldwide Ops teams to deliver best-in-class solutions while driving down cost and managing continuity of supply.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an innovative self-starter who is able to seek clarity in an ambiguous environment, constantly questioning the status quo and is willing to adapt to change. This person has strong relationship building skills to allow for effective influencing and results. This person has the ability to deliver succinct, impactful and professional communication. They can easily adjust their communications to the appropriate audience. You will have a background in working with Metro / Long Haul networks. The will have established relationships with suppliers in the network space. Prior experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain. Experience with Cloud sourcing is a huge plus.

Required Skills:

  • Background in engineering or deploying metro and/or long haul networks

  • Experience in sourcing of networking equipment

  • Background in collaborating with technical teams to deliver results

  • Proficient project management, leadership, team building, meeting management, problem resolution, risk management and decision-making skills

  • Ability to effectively address and resolve ambiguity

  • Self-starter capable of learning "on-the-fly"

  • Strong communication, oral and written

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in engineering or relevant industry experience

  • 5 years in sourcing network equipment

  • Experience in working with or for Cloud companies

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
