A day in the life...

The Marketing Technology Operations team develops and implements exciting solutions to support the goal of providing compelling and personalized interactions with Nordstrom customers. We strive to deliver a best in class marketing technology stack optimizing productivity and efficiency for Nordstrom Marketing through a mindset of continuous improvement, and data driven decision making.

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager who will focus on delivering technical solutions to support personalized marketing, campaign automation, customer targeting, and the underlying marketing data stores. The Program Manager partners with business and technology stakeholders to envision, design, build, launch and support technology solutions.



Responsibilities...

  • Collaborates with product management, business stakeholders, and other technology teams across the enterprise to identify and prioritize solutions. Documents business needs into user stories.

  • Works with the Engineering manager and Engineering teams to ensure speed and quality of delivery.

  • Partners with stakeholders to provide visibility, solicit feedback, and set expectations.

  • Identifies and produces valuable analytics for improved performance and business decisions.

  • Engages with cross department teams to ensure platform, testing and support teams are aligned to project goals.

  • Makes decisions which influence and impact the success of owned projects and/or efforts.

  • Understands program management principles with insights and knowledge across other disciplines.

  • Manages full program lifecycle (requirements, scope, schedule, resources, testing, quality, release, costs, changes) for cross-functional initiatives; manages initiatives of increasing impact, scope risk and complexity in an agile-like environment.

  • Facilitates team progress in choosing programmatic solutions and making effective business decisions.

  • Clarifies cross-functional problems and identifies options and solutions by breaking down complex issues or processes into component parts.

  • Considers options that span practices and functions and addresses each with a logical approach.

  • Finds and illuminates patterns between areas or systems.

  • Anticipates functionality/system/application problems based on knowledge gained and past experience.

You own this if you are…

  • 5 years of experience delivering complex software solutions (use case creation, functional design, scripting, etc.).

  • Experience with large scale enterprise software/services.

  • Experience with enterprise data management, preferably with a focus on customer data.

  • Hands on experience with data warehouse systems; Teradata, AWS, Azure or similar.

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of information technology concepts issues, trends and best practices as they relate to discipline/practice.

  • Anticipates system and application challenges.

  • Reinforces culture of shared ownership and accountability for solutions; actively engages in quick and efficient decision-making to drive to outcomes.

  • Clearly communicates decisions, plans, goals and strategies.

  • Organizes and communicates complex information clearly, concisely and simply to drive actions.
