Weatherford Operations Manager in SCHRIEVER, Louisiana

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SCOPE:

Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies and programs which guide Weatherford in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation. Directs and coordinates these activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives. Meet or exceed budget requirements. Achieve objectives established for personal and departmental accomplishments.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directs Weatherford’s manufacturing, production, or operating activities toward the accomplishment of corporate objectives.

Develops and recommends Weatherford manufacturing policy, and establishes manufacturing department operating policy.

Defines and recommends manufacturing objectives; develops specific short and long range plans and programs together with supporting budget requests.

Directs the manufacture of all Weatherford products at lowest cost consistent with established specifications as to quality and quantity.

Supervises installation and maintenance of all processing equipment used in manufacturing.

Directs preparation of cost control reports, cost estimates and manpower and facilities requirements forecasts and budget.

Assists in the preparation of specifications for purchase as to quality, quantity, delivery and service required for purchase of plant equipment, supplies and materials to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Set up and maintain operating inventory controls and levels to conform with budgets and forecasts.

Coordinates and collaborates with other departments in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.

Formulates and installs standard manufacturing practices bases on comparative studies of methods, costs and production figures.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Should have good communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work within and lead teams.

Manager and supervisor training.

Manufacturing management experience.

Knowledge of welding, machining, and assembly technologies.

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.

Travel domestic and overseas as required.

Preferred:

JDE experience

AutoCad experience

4 year college degree.
