Night Computer Operator 0979 Corporate Office Citi Trends, 104 Coleman Blvd. Savannah, GA 31408 Night Computer Operator \nJOB TITLE:| NIGHT Computer operator\nREPORTS TO:| IS Manager, Operations/risk/compliance\nWAGE SCALE:| HOURLY / NON-EXEMPT\n \nSUMMARY: The Night Computer Operator is responsible for supporting the company's computer systems. These responsibilities include the accurate and timely batch processing of information on Citi Trends systems. This involves running of job streams and utilities, printing of reports, monitoring systems/backups, and supporting store computers/equipment. Other essential duties & responsibilities is as follows:\n \nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nEnsure timely and efficient processing of production schedules on all computer systems\nAccurately execute and document nightly processing tasks\nEscalate processing issues in a timely manner\nPrint and distribute systems reports as required\nMonitor backups during execution for completion\nExecute prescribed corrective actions to ensure backups execute successfully\nEscalate backup issues in a timely manner\nThoroughly document backups nightly\nMonitor store polling and manually poll stores as required\nThoroughly document store polling in nightly reports\nEscalate store polling issues in a timely manner\nCoordinate with Store Help Desk associates at the start of each shift\nAssist supporting stores by taking help desk calls\nLog store help desk calls providing detailing information and troubleshoot steps\nAll other duties as assigned\n\n \nQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.\n\nThe ideal candidate will demonstrate superior communication skills\nThe ability to learn new technology quickly and thoroughly\nPossess problem solving skills\nSelf-motivated and able to work independently\nAbility to document and record statistics with extreme attention to detail\nAbility to work through roadblocks and bring about resolution\nExperience working with iSeries (AS/400) environment highly desirable\nExperience with UNIX, and WIN-Server operating systems a plus\nFamiliarity with MS Office, and Windows preferred\n\n \nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate's Degree in Information Technology or related field, 0-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.\n \nLANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and understand documents such as general correspondence, department reports and office procedures.
