JOB PURPOSE:

Prepares and operates blending equipment in accordance with prescribed procedures in order to provide a high quality, uniform, blended product and load in appropriate equipment. This position reports to the Facilities Supervisor and has responsibility to properly load products for cement and stimulation jobs.

Position Location : Santa Fe Springs, CA

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Performs product handling and inventory management functions with minimal supervision.

  • Properly document receipt and shipment of all products

  • Review load sheets and verify accuracy.

  • Orders products in quantities required to maintain proper inventory levels.

  • Performs cleaning and minor repair duties for district facility and equipment.

  • Reviews dispatch sheets to determine type of job and materials required for jobs.

  • Calculate proper batch sizes and mixtures for jobs

  • Select and prepare proper additives to prepare desired mixture in accordance with BJ Services practices.

  • Communicate with maintenance and/or operations personnel relative to equipment status.

  • Must be willing to work 12 hour shifts or more as needed

  • Attends weekly Safety Meetings.

  • All other duties assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, sit and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, lift up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell; lift more than 100 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 1 year of experience in warehouse/logistic environment

  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Must be willing to work weekdays, weekends, and overnight travel.

  • Willingness to work in physically demanding role-ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.

  • Willingness to work long hours

  • Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationship with other employees.

  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
