PRESS OPERATORPrimary Job Responsibilities:1. Loads scheduled rubber product into molds on presses and operates controls to cure rubber product to qualityspecifications2. Inspects quality of product cured and identifies any defects3. Performs press safety check and documents findings; notifies supervisor of any issues with machinery, process, product,etc.4. Stacks cured product and prepares for next stage in finishing process5. Other duties as may be assigned by the lead or supervisorRequirements of the Position:Prior manufacturing experience preferred. Open to work any shift (24/6 facility). Flexible and willing to work OT; excellent attendance. Exceptional interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow instructions, understand and follow work rules/procedures and make sound decisions. Basic math, reading and writing skills are required. *Union environment, all entry level positions start on graveyard shift (11:00pm-7:30am)Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, lift, push, pull for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift b/w 50-80 lbs. Ability to maneuver around an array of machinery. Use of hands to finger, handle or feel. Color and peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment conditions include: exposure to moving mechanical parts; fumes and dust, airborne particles and chemicals; extreme heat and loud noise level in some areas of the facility. Ability to quickly respond to a signal when it appears. Must be able to wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment for the duration of the shift. Ability to work in an efficient and timely manner, multitasking where necessary.
