Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, this is a critical role in the finance team as it is the key business partner to the Operations leadership team. As a marketplace of single-SKU inventory split between 2 warehouse locations, this position plays a vital role in identifying opportunities for efficiently scaling operations as well as driving productivity improvements that reinforce our competitive advantage. This role provides an opportunity to develop a strong understanding of the complexities of moving units through a consignment marketplace, provides broad exposure to multiple functions across the organization, and plays a critical part in ensuring the business continues to grow profitably and sustainably.
Manage several line items that determine the financial margin of the business, including inbound processing (receiving/copywriting, photography/retouching), fulfillment, packaging and transportation/shipping.
Collaborate with business partners to plan, track and deliver productivity improvements, and marry these gains with intelligent workforce planning.
Independently identify opportunities for improvement in Operations and effectively communicate and influence business partners to adopt recommendations.
Maintain inventory and capacity models; conduct ROI analysis to support capital expenditure decisions (e.g. build out of new warehouses/facilities). Participate in network strategy development and execution.
Provide thought leadership on shipping strategy that optimizes how we receive product from consignors, and deliver product to our customers. This includes shipping carrier negotiations and/or weaving together an innovative shipping strategy that includes national, regional, freight and other last-mile providers.
Closely manage KPIs and provide analysis to ensure visibility, guide business decisions, and establish accountability for achieving goals.
Overall responsibility for the planning, forecasting and reporting for Operations with the ability to drive results through strong collaboration and influencing of business partners.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field; MBA preferred
10+ years of experience in finance roles with increasing responsibility, including experience with supply chain at a high-growth startup or a large, well-established company
Six Sigma experience is a plus

NetSuite, Adaptive Planning and/or Looker experience is a plus
