Position Purpose: Support the Private Brand team in the management of samples, administration of the Private Brand Sample Warehouse and supporting the Product Development processes to be successful and on time for deliveries. Essential Job Functions: The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation. Solicit, gather, and organize Private Brand merchandise samples from Global Sourcing, Product Development, Suppliers, and internal sources to help ensure consistency and standards among all Private Brand products purchased. Support Private Brand in timely sample management per the Product Development Lifecycle timeline, while managing multiple projects Accurately track on time delivery of samples from Suppliers and distribute accordingly Organize and manage the Private Brand Sample Warehouse ensuring accurate records of product and placement at all times. Use a personal computer and applicable software applications to create, update, track and maintain records or product. Follow up on action items from internal and external participants. Support and develop mock-up packaging samples and creative presentations for Product Development. Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no administrative supervisory responsibility. Work Environment: Job duties are performed while seated indoors at a computer terminal and job duties are performed for merchandise sample stocking that require bending, kneeling, and moving merchandise - lifting, pulling or pushing up to 50 pounds, as necessary. Occasional travel to local stores may be required via automobile. Qualifications Education/Experience:Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent (GED). Bachelor or Associate degree preferred. Excellent PC skills with above average abilities in Microsoft Suite required, preferably acquired in a high volume administrative environment. The ability to work independently with very good organization and prioritization skills is also necessary. The ability to perform basic quantitative and qualitative analysis is required. Must be customer service oriented and must possess excellent communication skills. Experience in product development, buying or merchandising is highly desirable.
