Sutter Health Manager, Facility Operations Support, Sacramento (Full time) in Sacramento, California

The Facility Operations Support Manager is the lead person responsible for developing and maintaining the ongoing operational budget for the regional Facility Management services as well as the call center for the operating unit. The strategic design and implementation of the Facility Management program including the interface with all senior finance and accounting department leads, legal, and the affiliate facility teams. They will directly interface with senior executives from the accounting and finance departments to regularly report on operational costs by affiliate and property. This information will be used by Executive Leadership for decision making regarding operations, costs and projecting future capital expenses to maintain the assets we own and operate.

The Facility Operations Support Manager will conduct internal audits and verification of expense by property, ensure accounting and contract compliance and facilitate timely and accurate reporting. In addition, the Facility Operations Manager will supervise and oversee the associated call center team to ensure timely distribution of work to the associated facility based maintenance teams and support contractors. The Facility Operations Support Manager will leverage the information collected across the region to set expectations on staff and contract costs when comparing similar occupancies to assist in informing reasons behind variances and bring rigor to the expected future costs of asset management. This work with leverage conduct internal reporting of The Lease Administration Supervisor will develop and provide regular financial reports on the performance of income based real estate assets, including rent rolls, operating expense reports for non-income based assets, and will verify that all operating and real estate related expenses are properly coded within the Lawson system. From time to time, the Lease Administration Supervisor will conduct training system - wide for all facilities and management personnel and make recommendations, as needed, for modification and/or changes to processes the facility expenses to better to improve constancy in application across the assets we support.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field "or" equivalent education and experience.

  • 5-8 years experience in the real estate lease administration industry, including property financial reporting of income, expense and net operating income.

  • Strong understanding of balance sheet treatment of fixed assets.

  • Progressively responsible work experience in real estate asset management and/or development as would be obtained in 10 years.

  • 3-5 years proven experience as a Lease Administrator or Portfolio Manager is required "or" equivalent in the areas of real estate, property management, or facilities/asset management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Yardi, MRI, Harbor Flex, Lawson.

  • Familiarity with OSHPD and JCAHO requirements for operations and maintenance of hospital and medical facilities.
