Technology and Architectural Global Standards Program Manager
Location: Round Rock, TX or Southboro, MA

We have an immediate need for a TAGS Program Manager working on the Technology Architectural Global Standards (TAGS) team within the Architecture, Transformation, & Quality (ATQ) Programs & Operations organization of Dell IT. As the TAGS Program Manager, you will work closely with technology engineering, compliance subject matter experts, and architects to identify, establish and manage the technology catalog. Records are kept for all technologies used by Dell.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
‒ Manages/updates the technology catalog
‒ Facilitates the technology standardization and exception review process
‒ Prepares technology requests for review, identifying appropriate missing/complete compliance processes, SMEs and Architects
‒ Coordinates reviews to address post review action items for follow up
‒ Ensures that the technology requests are processed, meticulously documented, and statuses updated in a timely manner
‒ Maintains, processes, and monitors the technology request review processes and tasks
‒ Updates and maintains the TAGS web site
‒ Contributes to continuous improvement in the process-tool systems that enable standards and product requests to be managed and tracked
‒ Creates, presents, and posts standards documentation including training, FAQ, presentations, process diagrams and communications materials
‒ Tracks assigned projects and associated change requests and maintains status within the request tool (RSAM and SharePoint)
‒ Runs assigned small projects, including conducting project meetings, creating schedules and status reporting, maintaining associated documentation, etc.
‒ Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 5+ years of related experience
‒ Proven knowledge of system development methodology, project management, system architecture and analytical/problem solving skills
‒ Highly flexible, ability to adapt and manage changes on a regular basis
‒ Broad understanding of IT and variety of technologies with a strong desire to learn new technologies; understand what a specific technology does and how it is used
‒ Proven customer service skills in a fast paced and fluid environment
‒ Strong negotiation skills, proactive, results-oriented attitude and ability to defuse escalations easily
‒ Strong leadership and relationship-building skills; proven ability to provide direction to others including both peers and high level executives
‒ Strong collaboration skills, easily traverses Dell’s organizational structure and workforce
‒ Proven problem solving and decision making skills
‒ Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
‒ Strong ability to work independently with little input as well as contributes to the team effort to ensure results
‒ Strong work ethic with meticulous attention to detail, data analysis and data integrity; strong drive for results with a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering on objectives
‒ Strong computer skills relevant to position, MS SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.
‒ Basic knowledge of HTML
‒ Position requires proof of U.S. Citizenship
‒ Experience IT systems SOX/compliance/governance
