In the Account Manager position, you will be responsible for the support of Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate (AFRL/RI) customers engaged in research, development and vulnerability analysis of hardware and software systems covering the spectrum of cyber security technologies. This includes maintaining our current customer base and expanding our portfolio to gain new customers by building and growing relationships. and representing the voice of the customer in technical and strategic discussions.
ROLES & RESPONSIBLITIES
The Account Manager (AM) has single point responsibility for the overall success of each customer relationship within his/her portfolio. The AM is the primary AIS interface to the customer and the internal voice of the customer in technical and strategic discussions. The AM will work closely with AIS technical managers to accomplish customer objectives. Where appropriate, the AM will identify, evaluate and establish working relationships with external partners to fulfill the customer mission.
The Account Manager is expected to communicate customer technical, financial and administrative concerns in an accurate, complete and timely manner to the appropriate AIS offices so that customer needs are met. The AM is also responsible to maintain awareness of internal technical work performed (including work in progress) and administrative activities performed to assure complete customer success and satisfaction.
The AM will also be responsible to work effectively and cooperatively with AIS Technical Area Managers and senior leadership to collectively achieve Corporate goals and objectives.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, including 3-5 years of account management/customer relationship management experience working on software development projects. Broad experience in computer and network security and in managing subcontractors, partners and affiliates to achieve common objectives is also required or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES
* Knowledge of cyber-security threats, defenses, cyber physical systems
* Experience with USAF and DoD Research and Development contracting
* Advanced technical degrees (MS, PhD)
* Current active security clearance; SCI eligible.
