Job Description Summary

Under moderate supervision, performs one or more of several unit operations in the manufacture and packaging of chemical products such as blending, drying, extracting, packing, etc. May operate complete unit processes involving one or more unit operations.

 

Job Description

Responsible for supporting the Lonza philosophy, "The Vision is Zero" in his/her job routine. Works to attain the purpose, "Zero injuries, Zero process incidents, Zero distribution incidents, and Zero environmental incidents."

Responsible for supporting the administration of Lonzas philosophy, "The Vision is Zero" in his/her job routine.

Supports our "Product Stewardship" initiative to ensure the health, safety and environmental performance of our products throughout the products' life cycle.

Must acquire a working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ISO 9000.

Maintains Responsible Care focus throughout everyday tasks ensuring safety of self, coworkers, community, and environment.

Performs various operations in the manufacture, packaging and re-packaging of chemical products.

Organizes work for smooth operation.

Reports any processes or equipment problems he or she cannot resolve to the Team Leader.

Troubleshoots problems.

Responsibility for housekeeping in the working area.

May handle some hazardous chemicals and hazardous waste during the normal operation of this position.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience: Chemical Operator experience preferred

Quality: Responsible for maintaining cGMP standards of position in daily tasks and operations. Maintenance of data integrity at all times.

Language: Speaking, Writing, Reading Proficiency- English Fluency
