Position Summary: As a member of the OSPA leadership team, this position assists in development and implementation of short and long-range plans for OSPA; manages electronic grant system strategy; and interacts with a variety of offices to facilitate the management, administration and conduct of sponsored programs.
This position manages a team of pre-award and non-financial post-award sponsored programs professionals that provides support, advice, and services to the research community related to federal, foundation and/or industry funding.
Responsibilities: Manages operations for a large and complex program, lab, division or department.
Serves as a key member of the leadership team with a primary focus on administrative leadership, management of allied health staff, program budget development and oversight, operational and strategic planning, and implementation of policies and systems.
Partners closely with physician/scientist leadership to help advance research.
Performs duties independently and initiates judgment in handling a variety of management issues.
Direct reports include research supervisors and/or other department/division personnel.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare field with two years of management experience.
Master's degree preferred.
Experience in research environment preferred.
Strong leadership, team building, and problem-solving skills as well as demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines, i.e., physician, administrative, supervisory, and allied health staff.
Must have excellent communication, organizational and human relation skills.
Requires excellent decision-making and judgment capabilities.
Must have broad based knowledge of office support and computer systems along with spreadsheets, databases, statistics, software knowledge and installation, and accounting practices for budgetary responsibilities.

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3,315.20, based on a full-time position.
