The Calix Professional Services organization addresses network transformation opportunities including residential access networks, mobile backhaul and business Ethernet. Professional Services delivers value-added services to new and existing customers that improve the Communication Service Providers (CSP) Return on Investment, improve time to market and reduce deployment risks

Calix is seeking an accomplished Field Operations Supervisor who will coordinate and optimize the delivery of Professional Services into key customers. The Field Operations Supervisor will assist the Operations Manager in the development of best in class field operations processes, strategic planning and execution of field deployments, vendor management, quality initiatives, and the delivery of solution strategies to ensure the success of and expansion of the Professional Services organization.

  • Position requires extensive travel – anticipated @ 30% travel

  • Perform in-person/virtual field quality audits

  • Perform vendor process compliance auditing

  • Work with program management to align strategic field operations plan

  • Formulate and execute Construction, Installation, and TTU field operations plans

  • Manage project financials, change orders, invoice review/approvals

  • Manage day to day field operations of Calix vendors

  • Act as operational liaison between Customer, Vendors, and Calix

  • Identify need for and develop/implement field training

  • Must have knowledge/experience with CenturyLink field installation standards

  • Must have knowledge/experience with Windstream field installation standards

  • Must have knowledge/experience with Frontier field installation standards

  • Work with Operations Manager to establish and refine service delivery process to establish uniform processes and procedures to ensure high level of quality and customer satisfaction

  • Assist in the creation of tools and processes to increase efficiencies and profitability

  • Optimize existing and new service delivery to ensure Professional Services objectives are being met and exceeded

  • Assist Professional Services with continuous improvement efforts

  • Recognize areas for services improvement/innovation and assist in developing plans with cross functional teams for implementation

  • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives without adversely impacting customer experience

  • Extensive working knowledge of Telcordia Standards a plus

  • 10+ yrs of telecom industry experience within a professional services organization (with at least 5 yrs of field operations supervisory experience)

  • Experience managing construction/installation/TTU vendor/3rd party relationships

  • Knowledge of US provider’s network and processes (systems, planning, engineering, and operations)

  • Demonstrated record of success in previous positions, possess a solution oriented attitude and have an aggressive desire for results

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Possess strong organization, presentation, and customer engagement skills

  • Excellent analysis, problem-solving, organization and negotiation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain business relationships
