Senior Finance Director, Cloud Operations Management

Oracle is seeking a well-balanced leader who is comfortable in strategic discussions at the executive level that involve the full scope of the organization as well as in driving operational efficiencies at process and systems level. As such, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. He/she will report directly to the Vice President of Finance, Cloud and SW R&D, with a strong dotted line to the Cloud Operations SVPs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as a strategic business partner to the Cloud Operations, WWOps (manufacturing),Corporate Finance and Corporate Development groups

  • Proactively drives strategy and finance discussions within the business.

  • Collaboratively evaluate opportunities for business growth as well as cost control.

  • Owns the forecast, budgeting and Long Range Planning for Cloud Operations (Datacenter, CAPEX, Demand planning, Capacity planning, gross margin)

  • Drives the rolling 4-quarter QBRs with the President of Oracle

  • Evaluates risks and opportunities to drive profitability for the business

  • Directs the establishment and maintenance of financial policies, procedures and controls for the maintenance of fiscal records and preparation of financial reports as required.

  • Ensures financial results from operations are reported timely, accurately and in compliance with US GAAP

  • Drives process and system improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15 years of related professional work experience.

  • Experience within the technology sector (Software, Hardware) required.Cloud experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience leading a team of finance professionals.

  • Experience in financial modeling, reporting, analysis, month end closing and budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial planning.

  • Experience in a global company.

  • Knowledge of and experience with Oracle Financial systems is a plus.

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.

  • Experience in big data analytics

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business

  • Graduate degree in business or finance is preferred

Serves as a financial advisor and business partner in managing the activities of the financial analyst staff. Ensures that global business processes and practices are followed in providing accurate financial analysis in support of Oracle

  • s finance organization, you will manage the finance team and drive key cross functional business practices such as management of the budget and forecasting processes. Your will prepare, administer, and direct the control of the budget. Review and approve recommendations for financial planning and control. Monitor divisions and subsidiaries adherence to budgets. Develop, implement, and integrate financial practices across multiple organizations and locations. Develop, recommend, and implement financial policies, practices, and process changes.

Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Serves as process owner; ability to identify cross-functional issues. Demonstrated leadership skills. 12 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. CPA/MBA desired.
